On-site Diagnostics
There is a Children's Hospital Laboratory in the same medical complex as the office. The following conditions can be tested for:
celiac sprue
inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and crohn's disease
genetic predisposition to lactose intolerance
irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
stool tests for bacterial infections and malabsorption
adenomatous polyposis syndromes, including familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP)
helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
Additional testing can be done at Children's Hospital Los Angeles including:
breath test for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)
breath test for lactose intolerance
breath test for fructose intolerance
